High Capacity Sterilizing Grade Pharmaceutical Filters - PROPOR HC

PROPOR HC high capacity sterilizing grade pharmaceutical liquid filters provide robust, validated sterile filtration for difficult-to-filter pharmaceutical and biologic liquids. These high capacity sterilizing grade pharmaceutical liquid filters combine a dual-layer polyethersulfone (PES) membrane with an integrated asymmetric prefilter to maximize throughput and protect downstream processes.

The PROPOR HC membrane structure delivers up to ten times the throughput of conventional single-layer sterilizing-grade membranes, significantly delaying blockage when processing viscous formulations, protein-rich intermediates, and complex biologics. The inherently low-binding PES chemistry minimizes adsorption of proteins and preservatives, reducing product loss and helping to maintain critical product quality attributes.

Available as full-size cartridges, MURUS in-line and T-port capsules, DEMICAP small-scale capsules, and 50 mm syringe filters, PROPOR HC elements support seamless scale-up from development and clinical batches through commercial production. Cartridges are compatible with hot water sanitization, steam-in-place, and multiple autoclave cycles, while single-use capsules can be gamma-irradiated and autoclaved for deployment in disposable and hybrid bioprocessing systems.

All wetted materials are suitable for pharmaceutical service, with polymer components conforming to FDA 21 CFR 177, USP Plastics Class VI at 121 °C, and ISO 10993 equivalents. Low extractables, tight control of TOC and conductivity, and compliance with current USP/EP requirements for sterile purified water make PROPOR HC an excellent choice for critical sterile filtration of biopharmaceutical products, buffers, process intermediates, and pharmaceutical water in life science and medical device manufacturing.
