Product Description
PROCLEAR PP+ polypropylene pharmaceutical prefilters provide robust, high-capacity clarification of demanding biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical liquid streams. These pleated depth filter cartridges and MURUS capsules use meltblown polypropylene media to deliver reliable particle retention and long service life in critical prefiltration steps.
The PROCLEAR PP+ design combines optimized depth construction with a pleated geometry to maximize effective filtration area and dirt-holding capacity. This allows high throughput and low pressure drop, reducing filter changeout frequency and helping protect downstream sterilizing-grade membranes in biological feed solutions, buffers, and process intermediates. All wetted components are polypropylene, providing broad chemical compatibility and low extractables compared to glass fiber or cellulosic media.
PROCLEAR PP+ filters are available in 0.5, 0.6, and 1.0 micron ratings and standard 5–40 inch sanitary-style cartridges, as well as scalable MURUS capsule formats for single-use or small-scale applications. The range meets FDA 21 CFR 177 and USP Class VI plastics requirements and conforms to USP <643> and <645> limits after an initial flush, supporting use in regulated pharmaceutical and bioprocess environments. Hot-water and steam sterilization, plus gamma-irradiation options for capsules, provide flexible integration into existing CIP/SIP and single-use processes.
