Product Description
Parker’s SciLog® NFF semi-automated bioprocessing system is a configurable, single-use normal flow filtration system for discovery through production-scale operations. Designed for viral filtration, bioreactor harvest, chromatography column loading, and final clarification, the SciLog NFF combines automated process control with flexible hardware to increase yield and reduce operator workload.
The SciLog NFF platform uses an “open architecture” design, allowing you to run any commercially available filter or membrane without changing your qualified consumables. A color touchscreen HMI and pre-installed software provide four modes of operation – constant rate, constant pressure, R/P Stat Method, and manual – so you can optimize each process for throughput, filter life, or product protection. Recipes and user-selectable end points help standardize runs, minimize operator error, and support repeatable performance across campaigns.
At the core of the system is Parker’s patented R/P Stat Method, which automatically transitions from rate-controlled to pressure-controlled operation as the filter loads. By dynamically adjusting flow in response to in-line pressure feedback, the SciLog NFF can extend membrane life and increase filtration yield by up to 30% compared to fixed-parameter operation. Optional integrated scales enable gravimetric control of endpoints, further tightening process control and reducing variability.
Built on a compact 304 stainless steel framework with pharmaceutical-grade casters, the SciLog NFF provides a small footprint and easy mobility without sacrificing robustness. A NEMA 4X, IP65-rated enclosure, multiple in-line pressure sensors, and Ethernet connectivity to plant systems make it suitable for deployment in modern GMP bioprocessing environments. With options for fully disposable, semi-disposable, or stainless CIP flowpaths, the SciLog NFF can be configured to match your facility’s single-use strategy and long-term scale-up plans.
