Product Description
Parker’s SciLog® Single-Use Inline Dilution (ILD) system is a compact single-use inline dilution system designed for point-of-use buffer preparation in biopharmaceutical processes. By combining concentrated buffers with WFI in a fully automated skid, the SciLog ILD delivers accurate, repeatable buffer dilution directly to the process suite or tank farm.
Automated inline dilution brings together two or more liquid streams under precise flow, pH, and conductivity control to meet a defined target concentration. The SciLog ILD uses irradiated single-use manifolds and a patented inline single-use static mixer to generate homogeneous buffers without the need for large, dedicated mixing tanks. This significantly reduces buffer batch sizes, lowers facility footprint requirements, and minimizes hold times and manual handling.
With a recommended output of 5–60 L/min and a dilution range from 1x to 65x, the ILD supports a wide range of downstream purification and chromatography steps, as well as upstream media and feed dilution. Four concentrate inlets and four buffer outlets provide the flexibility to manage multiple buffer recipes from a single platform, while tri-clamp/aseptic connections simplify integration into modern single-use and hybrid facilities.
The system’s single-use flow path is constructed from platinum-cured silicone tubing and polymeric components such as polypropylene and polysulfone for biopharmaceutical compatibility, and can be flushed with WFI between runs to support multi-buffer campaigns without changing manifolds. Integrated pressure, conductivity, pH, and Coriolis flow sensors feed an onboard PLC running Parker’s SciSoft software, enabling recipe-based operation, batch or single-run modes, and 21 CFR Part 11–compliant data handling with straightforward integration to DCS/SCADA or MES.
