SMHF Series Separator Cartridges

Facet’s SMHF Series Separator Cartridges are high-flow aviation fuel separator elements designed for second-stage water removal in coalescer-separator systems handling Category M aviation fuels. These elements use a hydrophobic barrier to block residual water droplets after the coalescer stage and help prevent downstream water carryover in mission-critical fueling service.

When paired with CMHF coalescer cartridges in Facet coalescer-separator housings, the SMHF Series is qualified to EI 1581, 7th Edition, Category M, Type S-LW for horizontal configurations. A synthetic mesh-coated screen enhances water repellency and supports consistent separation efficiency across varying flow conditions.

The cleanable, reusable design can help reduce maintenance waste and lower ongoing operating costs compared with disposable-only elements. SMHF separator elements are available in multiple lengths and diameters for compatible Facet systems and are rated for outside-to-in flow, pH 5 to 9 service, a maximum operating temperature of 240 F, and a maximum differential pressure of 75 psid. The datasheet also states that all materials of construction are compatible with EI 1589.
