Product Description
TETPOR AIR sterilizing grade air and gas filters provide high-integrity, 0.2 micron sterile filtration for critical vent and process gas applications. These pleated elements use a hydrophobic PTFE membrane to deliver reliable sterile air and gas filtration with low pressure drop, making them ideal for protecting high‑value pharmaceutical, biotech, and food & beverage processes.
Each TETPOR AIR filter incorporates an inherently hydrophobic expanded PTFE membrane validated as sterilizing grade in liquid according to ASTM F838-05 bacterial challenge testing. The absolute-rated membrane, supported by a polypropylene prefilter layer, ensures effective removal of airborne bacteria, viruses, and bacteriophage while extending service life in heavily contaminated gas streams.
The cartridges feature robust all‑polypropylene hardware with 316L stainless steel end-cap inserts and are available in a range of standard lengths and sanitary end configurations to fit common single- and multi-round housings. Single-use MURUS and DEMICAP capsule formats offer convenient options for small-scale, R&D, and point-of-use sterile gas and vent filtration without the need for dedicated housings.
TETPOR AIR filters are designed for demanding process conditions, with continuous cartridge operation up to 60 °C and defined pressure ratings at higher temperatures, plus steam sterilizability up to 140 °C.
